Anglesey is the big island off the coast of Wales and stares across the sea to Ireland. It's what you picture a an island like that to be and it's known for its beaches and ancient sites. If you can get out to the very northwest side, there are a number of coastal paths that are surrounded by a collage of flora lavenders, pinks and blues with a breathtaking view of the Irish Sea. On a clear day, you can actually see Ireland so make sure to wave. Meandering along that path either out to the lighthouse or along the cliffs can be invigorating. It's that crispy, breezy salty air. While on the cliffs, you can look down and see the many seabirds that seem to scream back up at you and catch an occasional fishing boat going by. This piece was inspired by one of those walks along Anglesey’s coast. The Gray Leopard Jasper resembles the jagged gray walls of the cliffs and the Grainy Wood and Yak Bone add an organic/old look to the piece. The Driftwood and Keyhole Limpet Shell bring in that coastal flavor and relevance. Anglesey is out of the way for most tourists, but take the time to get out to that beautiful place and do go to The Skirrid Inn while in Abergavenny which claims to be one of the oldest pubs in Britain...and it’s haunted. That's what the Bone Mala Skull represents in this bracelet. I ain’t afraid of no ghost! I tell ya, a creamy pint of Guinness in that dark, tiny, secluded pub sure hits the spot after one of those jaunts along the sea.
