Arezzo! The word feels like you always have to exclaim it with big gusto and inflection eh? Arezzo Italy is located in Tuscany and is known as the city of gold and high fashion. It’s where artists and poets gather to discuss their hardships for living in such a beautiful place. It’s a walking town and you’ll know why when you approach it from afar---you know just gotta hoof these picturesque, cobbled streets. You can take a guided tour, but this is the type of place to wander at your own pace in search of that perfect camera shot, to seek out little shops for the local Chianti and spectacular bites of food and to just gaze at the local Romanesque architecture. Just take a break in the Piazza Grande to soak up the atmosphere and to people watch---it will fill your soul with hope for mankind. There is a ton of texture in the city walls thrown in with nice pops of earthen pottery colors that add to its old-world charm.
