Baja California is a Mexican state on the Baja California Peninsula and is all about the desert and deep blue sea. It has mountains and beaches on both the Pacific Ocean and on the Gulf of California sides and yes, those white sandy beaches are quite stunning. The deep blues of the sea along either side of the peninsula resemble those deep blue South Pacific Island colors. Baja is really a juxtaposition. It has a few rough towns like the colorful Tijuana known for its crazy nightlife and just down the coast is Rosarito that is known for its fantastic seafood and lovely coastal vibe. Outside of those areas, it’s quiet and peaceful and everything slows down under that baking desert sun. All around you, there seems to be sand, which is dune buggy heaven to say the least. It’s hot, like Africa hot, but if you can find a quiet little coastal cantina for a cold beer and a sip of reposado tequila while staring out to sea, then you are doing good my man. Add some chips and salsa, and you’re golden. Baja has a great, lovely little vibe to it just like this cool-ass bracelet.
