Like the city of Berlin, this bracelet brings together the old and new. Berlin has had a very rich history for many centuries and you can truly see it in its ancient and modern architecture. This city is older than Germany and once was the beer capital of Europe. Recently, we knew Berlin as the place where East met the West with an ugly wall splitting the city in half between 1961 and 1989. Since then, the city has become a cosmopolitan juggernaut with a thriving art and music scene. It’s still trying to shirk off its gloomy past, but when strolling around this place, you really do feel that bohemian spirit and you want to explore it as much as possible. At night, the city really shines with some of the best industrial nightclubs around. Even later in the evening is a chance to try some of the local suds, Currywurst and fries. Ahhh…German fries gotta be about the best in the world. Sorry,,,,got lost in crispy thought. So…this bracelet truly has the look and feel of Berlin---especially in its muted colors and textures. There’s a modern feel to this piece due to the industrial influence, but it also looks like an old piece that you may have found at an old market. The Antique Afghan Bead and Bronze/Brass Beads have a very tarnished look to them which blend in perfectly with the Snowflake Obsidian and Ox Bone. Included is an Antique WW1 German Army Uniform Button to bring in its long historical and royal past. The crown button’s patina is pretty dang cool too. Included is a Bone Mala Skull to remind you to always explore those out-of-the-way places wherever you are---they always bring the best memories. Berlin or bust!
