Churchill is a town on Hudson Bay in the far north of Manitoba, Canada. It is the Polar Bear capital of the world and is known for its eco-tourism and loooooong winters. It's also the remarkable juncture of three eco-regions---the boreal forest to the south, the Arctic tundra to the northwest and the Hudson Bay to the north. For such a remote area, there is a lot to see and a ton to do in a climate like no other. Either way, what a destination for the hearty to chill! This bracelet was influenced by our Northern Sea Ice Bear Brothers & Sisters, the remote environment and by the spirit of the people who live and work there. Included is an unusual Hand-Carved Polar Bear Figure made out of Yak Bone and another Hand-Carved Yak Bone piece that resembles an Indigenous drum or shield. The Gray Sea Jasper, Yak Bone and Coconut Wood add to the feel, flavor and colors of this region. A Bone Mala Skull was added to remind you to always keep a vigilant eye for those who are dressed in white always looking for dinner. BTW, don't try looking for a road into town because there aren't any. You can get there if you try...this bracelet may help inspire that journey. Peace...
