What can you say about Crete? It's baking hot in the Summer, the Cicadas are non-stop, some of the towns and beaches are over-crowded and the tourists do get in the way...but oh, what a lovely little island. First off, the people are just lovely, super friendly and very proud of their rock in the sea. The sea water is about the clearest and bluest you will ever see, the mountains are big and rugged, the local food is yummy and hearty, the white adobe buildings are picturesque and the local beer is crisp and clean and served cold....really cold. And if you have a chance to float in the sea...then you know what it's all about. And you do feel the blueness of that water. This bracelet has Crete written all over it.
