This bracelet is inspired by one of the most beautiful communal villages in all of France, Eus. It runs down the slopes of the Pyrenees in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France and supposedly gets more sun that any village of France. It's been around awhile (one of its churches dates back to the 10th century) and once belonged in Spanish hands. Eus is just one of those amazing, little medieval places that you need to explore. Its winding cobblestoned streets lined with cacti and fruit trees lead up to the top of this pleasant, serene village square. It takes a while to hike...not because of the distance, but because of the constant stops and starts taking all those dang photos. Once you get to the top and gaze at the spellbinding views of the Pyrenees, you’ll forget all your troubles just for a moment. This piece was made to have the look & feel of the structures of Eus, especially its colors and textures. The Chocolate Brown Labradorite, Ox Bone and Hand-Carved Water Buffalo Beads do just that. The HUGE Bone Mala Skull is a shout-out to the ones who have resided there for centuries. The Antique 1923 10 Centimes French Coin adds a nice authenticity to this bracelet---hey, the coin is now over 100 years old! I think you will dig this piece 'o bling on your wrist...it's a nice statement piece that presents an old, yet clean look. So, if you're in that part of France, head out to Eus and you'll see how this bracelet resembles its namesake. It is highly suggested that you also bring along a Bota Bag while tooling around the village...I have no idea who suggested it though.
