Molokaʻi is beautiful. It is the fifth largest of the Hawaiian Islands island and is known for its cattle ranching, pineapple and sugar cane production and local fishing. It’s green, it’s lush and it feels like its been hidden away from the maddening crowd. On the eastern side of the island boasts the highest sea cliffs in the world and has the longest fringing reef in the U.S. It’s also one of the most kick-back places and best kept secrets in the world. Hit up Pāpōhaku Beach which is one of largest white sand beaches in Hawaii, hike down to Halawa Beach Park for some fantastic views and take a helicopter or boat ride out to those north shore sea cliffs (here’s where you’ll find your screenshot). If you’re lucky, you’ll also get to see the majestic Moaula Falls. All I can say is wow and aiyiyi! The locals are chill and request that you do the same. Hit up the family-owned Kanemitsu’s Bakery when in Kaunakakai before heading out for some sport fishing. Moloka’i has a long tradition of great fishing going way back before the motor was invented.
