The Canary Islands are a Spanish archipelago off the coast of Africa and those volcanic cliffs off Tenerife Island (the Acantilados de Los Gigantes) are quite the site to behold. They are beyond magnificent and for some reason they make you feel insignificant in this world…in a good way. These rugged and remote cliffs just resemble something out of a mysterious, ancient world that feel like we are in a ‘Land That Time Forgot’ movie. It’s really worth a boat ride out to see them, especially when the sunlight first begins to hit. Right off those big rocks is a big, deep blue sea filled with tons of marine life that most of us don’t think about. What swims below the surface in those very remote waters?  Well, some very big sharks that cruise those areas back and forth looking for their next meal. That's what inspired this bracelet. The Agate and Coconut Wood resemble the gray and brown colors and rough textures of the cliffs. The Driftwood, Keyhole Limpet Shell and Puka Shell remind you of what pound against the base of those cliffs. The Fossilized Shark Tooth signifies one of our big-toothed brothers and sisters making the rounds. This piece has an interesting organic feel to it and looks like it was made with pieces that you found on the beach just down the coast. It's worth the boat jaunt out there to slowly cruise the that coastline and to think about what’s down below. That’s what the 2 Bone Mala Skulls represent---those of us who think about those things. Make sure you have plenty of petrol though and just remember what's below your feet.
