It's mighty, yet small and it's name is Monuriki! Monuriki is a small, uninhabited island in the South Pacific Ocean that situated off the coast of Viti Levu in the Fiji Islands. However, you can visit for the day to check out the goods. It's just one of those islands that actually looks the romantic part---surrounded by clear blue waters, lush vegetation, towering cliffs and a little outlet with white sand. This piece has some of the colors of the reef in it (if seen from above). The Fossilized Shark Tooth reminds you of the big boys who cruise the reef around the island. The Puka Shell and Keyhole Limpet Shell are some of the things that may wash up on that little outlet and the Coconut Shell represents the lush vegetation that has managed to thrive on that mighty rock. The Dyed Yak Bone give it a true tribal look and feel and the Bone Mala Skull is there to remind you to yell "Monurikiiiiiiiiii" when you think of it. BTW, Monuriki was featured as the anonymous island in the Robert Zemeckis film 'Cast Away' starring Tom Hanks. Now ya gotta go just to say Aloha to Wilson...if he made it back.
Check out the About Artisan Page for detailed info on the Fossilized Shark Teeth used by the Artisan.
