If there’s ever a trek to be made in the mountains, it’s gotta be to Mount Kailash and to its surrounding area. Mount Kailash towers above all in that part of Tibet and once you gaze upon its north face, it is said that you will be forever changed. It is located close to Lake Manasarovar and Lake Rakshastal which are the sources of four rivers to include the Karnali, Indus, Sutlej and Brahmaputra. Mount Kailash is also very sacred to Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism and Bon religions. Are you starting to get that this is the place where many things come together? Mount Kailash is meant to be the center of the world and has never been climbed according to the locals. The top of Mt. Kailash is actually a man-made vacuum pyramid which is surrounded by more than 100 other small pyramids and perhaps contributes to the supernatural powers that surround the area. There are many pilgrimages to the area by the followers of those four religions mentioned above. Because of that, trekking around Kailash has become the way to see everything and there are many small temples and memorials to hit up along the way. Watch your step though because your eyes will always be fixated on that big, beautiful chunk of stone in the sky. When that sunrise hits it face, man oh man. This bracelet was made to be a companion along your trek there or through life in general. It does look like something a holy man may have given you along the muddy path to Mount Kailash. The Stamped Copper Beads look like small bells and are very therapeutic to count through your fingers. There is an Antique Tibetan Monk Bead that is old and very hard to find. If you look closely, you will see the image of buddha embossed on it. There is also an Antique Asian Coin that is supposed to be the lucky coin you found on your journey (the coin appears to be Chinese but can’t say for sure). It is placed on top of a Wooden Buddha Head that was hand-painted by me to fit in with the bracelet’s color scheme. There is also a small Bone Mala Skull that reminds you to be happy and mindful while out in our world. Take the trek, gaze upon the mountain and bring this companion along with you. Peace!
