Ngorongoro Crater, located in Tanzania, is one of the most spectacular places on the planet! Not only is it a protected area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but it is also one of the top bucket list places to see before you die. It’s dynamic scenery, abundance of diverse wildlife and home of the great  Wildebeest migration make it worth your own journey. It also abuts the Serengeti National Park and is home to the Maasai pastoralists. It is also the world's largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. The crater actually formed when a large volcano erupted and collapsed on itself 2 – 3 million years ago. It’s 2,000 feet deep and its floor covers 100 square miles. Yeah, it’s overcrowded and even though the Tanzanian government is trying to limit access into the park, it is difficult to have a lone, solitary moment. However, it is sooooo worth seeing and the there’s nothing better than watching the sunset and sunrise in this amazing crater that a lot of exotic wildlife calls home. The sounds at night can be haunting, especially by the marauding lion prides. We could go on and on about Ngorongoro, but we want to focus on this cool piece of bling right?
