Ahhhh...Sao Martinho...what a place. It's a small cove/small port on the Atlantic Coast of Portugal and it's where the natives vacation. Great food, booze and warm people. Tons of cobblestone streets and the bay is first rate when it comes to a dip in the ocean. It's best to hit it before the season starts and the ideal time to have the streets and seaside to yourself is early in the morning. Talk about photo opps! If you get caught in the mid-day scorching sun, you can sneak into one of the many beachside cafes for a cold beer or an ice cream...or both. Sao Martinho is a great place to hang for a couple weeks and you'll feel like a local in just a few sunsets. This piece is made with that local relaxation in mind.
