What can we say about Turku? Turku is Finland’s oldest city with a rich cultural heritage. Ancient cemeteries date back to 550 along with old Viking forts surround the area. There are lots of “eras” that have contributed to the flavor and culture of this city. Today its known for its café and canteen history and famous fish market giving Turku a foodie culture. The Aura river runs through the city with 10 bridges cris-crossing it which makes it ideal for some pavement pounding. Definitely sample some of that lovely cuisine and great local brew along the way. This city is really cool and has some great medieval architecture, quirky museums, tons of art galleries and is a great hub for music. One of the things that stands out as you’re strolling around are the big trees. They are everywhere and add a subtle feeling of peacefulness to this city. Every season adds its own unique color which changes the feel of the place. These trees also make the old building pop and give the city a very clean appearance. It’s funny how nature can do that to a city. This bracelet was made with those trees in mind.
